When the going gets tough, Max gets hungry...

Just kidding. Of course I rise to the challenge! And there's been plenty of challenge of late. How about the readings for this week (required, not recommended)? How about 2 cases, 3 chapters and 3 papers, all for strategy tomorrow. Or 1 case and two papers for international business, again for tomorrow.

Yes it's getting brutal - what the kinder timetable gave with one hand, our internal drive and motivation took with the other. There are fewer classes this term, but we're all getting increasingly stuck into whatever we're doing - the readings, the assignments, sports, special interest groups, after hours clubs, whatever.

I think I'll miss being surrounded by such a driven bunch of misfits ;)

Over the weekend, I put many hours into sorting out our informal MBA website: cbsc.org.uk, although I haven't really announced it to the class yet. A major part of the redevelopment is the photo gallery, with lots of embarrasing pictures. Lovely.

I also floated my web idea to the MBA director yesterday, as well as the in-house web developer and head of IT. They loved it, so now it's up to me to implement. What is it? Well, suffice to say it's a neat tool for organising groups - and yes, I know there's a ton of free groupware out there; this one is different, and tailored specifically to MBAs. Stay tuned for developments on that front...

Also, put together a strategy document on the redevelopment of the Magdalene College website today. It's beeing reviewed and added to as we speak. I hope to finalise recommendations by the end of term.

Preparing for the Cambridge-Oxford MBA olympics - I'm captaining the table tennis team. Don't laugh! We actually have a very strong team, and we're practicing a lot. Oxford are going to be in for a shock!! (and a jolly good pasting!)

Finally, I had a Myers-Briggs session with the MBA careers adivsor today; it was something of a revelation. Apparently I'm destined for strategic planning. Of course I knew that deep down inside already! ;) So what happens to all the entrepreneurial ideas I have up my sleeve? Oh, I haven't you about those? Well what did you think I was doing, attenting all those entrepreneurial events I wrote about??

Plenty on the horizon. I just hope I have the staying power. More bananas!!
